Voice Talent Bio:
Born in Cleveland Ohio, where
I've lived most of my life, a
graduate of the American school of Broadcasting,
with over 25 years of DJ and MC
experience, and 3 years of Radio
production experience, including tenures at WZLE
FM, WXIZ FM, and WCOL AM Radio in Columbus,
Ohio. Voice over projects include scores of
radio commercials, voice overs for warehouses,
restaurants, furniture store outlets, retail
stores, etc.
I've
been in the Entertainment business for many
years. When I was 17 years old I was singing in
nightclubs. I sang lead vocals for a popular
Cleveland Rock Band. I was complimented by Tommy
James (of Tommy James and the Shondells), for my
extraordinary vocal range.
At
first we were called The Amboy Dukes, (a name
that I thought up with the drummer) but we had
to change the name when Ted Nugent decided to
use it for his band and I didn't get it
copyrighted in time. We changed the Band's name
to The New Twilighters. We performed in and
around the N.E. Ohio for a couple of years until
the Viet Nam war and the draft broke us up in
1968. We got back together after 43 years last
November and performed without any rehearsal at
all. That can be found on

After that my career in the Entertainment
business did not resume until 1980 at which time
I went to Broadcasting School in Columbus, Ohio.
Prior to my graduation I acquired an all night
on-air announcer/DJ slot with a Columbus Radio
Station WCOL AM. I learned a lot there,
especially about the Radio business in general
and what politics goes on in most
stations. I left with a letter of
recommendation.
This however did not stop me from continuing
with a career that I loved and was good at. I
acquired a position at WXIZ fm in Waverly, Ohio.
A prime time afternoon drive timeslot, performed
station remotes, commercial spots, promos,
performed newscasts, and more. They went to
Satellite broadcasting and that was that.
Still determined to prove myself in this
unstable business of Radio Broadcasting I
acquired a position as a prime time Radio host
and announcer for the afternoon shift at WZLE fm
in Lorain, Ohio. I performed local remotes, did
lots of Radio spots for advertisers and held the
afternoon drive shift time slot as an on-air
announcer and DJ. Everything seemed to be going
great until one day in 1983 the place was sold
to Lorain Christian Broadcasting and everyone
there including myself was politely fired. That
was it for me in Radio.
